tutorial: cute cupcake

Hello everyone :) What I have for you today is a simple and quick photo tutorial. Let's get started!

Step 1: Apply a base coat. Base coats protects your nails from discolorations and makes your manicure last longer.

Step 2: Choose two soft/pastel shades for the background. I chose a light pink and light yellow, but you can choose whatever color you wish just make sure it's a softer shade. One of the colors will be the cupcake and the other will be the background. Divide your nail in half and paint the two parts with the polishes. Don't worry if the line between them isn't straight, because it will be hidden in the next step.

Step 3: Paint an oval with a white polish or acrylic paint. Make sure the oval is covering the line between the two background colors. Then, on the bottom of the oval, paint a few half-circles, so the whipped cream on the cupcake looks more realistic.

Step 4: Time to make the sprinkles. You can use rhinestones or metal beads (like I did), but you can also make small dots in different colors if you like. Place them randomly over the white color. I had a few that fell on the backgrounds and I couldn't remove them, but it definitely looks cute either way.

Step 5: For the top I used a small pink rhinestone, but just like in the previous step you can use nail polish to achieve the look. After applying the top of the cupcake, take a striper in darker or lighter shade of the cupcake color and make 3-4 vertical stripes. You can also use white polish for this step.

Step 6: Apply a top coat. Your nails will be more shiny and you won't lose your rhinestones.
