maybelline cherry sweet

How are you all doing today?
I've been checking this polish out for a long, long time and I finally got it. I'm having a glitter craze lately and I've been getting a lot of glitter/shimmer toppers. I've previously posted about two lovely toppers from Maybelline - Sugar Crystals and Honey Crystals.

Maybelline Cherry Sweet is consisted of micro glitter particles in a cherry red base. If there's one thing I absolutely love about Maybelline's polishes is that the names explain the colors perfectly. The color reminds me of the lovely early summer cherries that I love. The red base is pretty sheer making your nails look like they have been dipped in a cherry sorbet. The swatch is 2 coats.

essence chilled orange (soul sista TE)

Hey guys!
Yet another Essence polish for you :) Recently, to my surprise, the Essence distributor for Macedonia brought TWO new collections - the Soul Sista TE and the Marble Mania TE. I didn't get anything from the Marble Mania collection, as I thought the colors vere a "déjà vu" to me. The only polish that caught my eye from the Soul Sista collection was Chilled Orange and that's the one I'm showing you today.

Essence Chilled Orange is an orange jelly polish with a hint of yellow. The color reminds me of an egg yolk :) The application was nice, not the best, but it's manageable. The brush is thin and round. I prefer wider brushes as my nails are quite wide themselves. I think that it's quite a unique orange/yellow shade. I sure will be wearing it a lot this summer!

By the way, I adore the logo of this collection :) Look how awesome it is!

Did you get anything from the Soul Sista collection?

essence (show your feet) flamingo rose

Hello! How are you doing today? :)
Today I'm going to show you a nail polish from Essence's Show Your Feet line that I got with a discounted price, as they are going to be discontinued.
Before I begin, a bit of info considering this particular line. Show Your Feet, as you may guess, is toe nail polish line, but this doesn't mean that you can't use the same polish on your fingernails :) The polishes from this line are kind of thicker, which supposedly makes them opaque in one coat, and they're also antibacterial.

Essence (Show Your Feet) Flamingo Rose is a lovely pink polish with white and gold shimmer. The shimmer is quite subtle, yet it is visible on direct light. Unfortunately, I was unable to capture it with my camera. Even though the label says the polish is opaque in only one coat, I found it difficult to cover my entire nail. I used two coats, which is perfectly fine by me. The formula is a bit chalky, but it shows no streak lines. Also, it dries pretty fast.

essence absolutely stylish

Hello everyone!
Another one of my discount Essence buys. I believe that this one is already discontinued in the other countries.

Essence Absolutely Stylish is a dusty brown nail polish with green and pink flecks. It's opaque in 2 coats and the formula is the same as all Colour & Go polishes. There is one thing I can't understand. This polish is absolutely gorgeous, yet there aren't many swatches of it. I guess not many girls find it beautiful :) Here are the swatches.

classics glamour 211 & 212

Hello everyone!
I've finally finished with my final exams and I'm very happy that I'm back again. The heat here is still unbearable, so I have to manage with my AC and fan turned on 24/7. Since summer officially started a couple of days ago, today I'm going to show you two lovely summer shades that everyone should have! :)

Classics Glamour 211 is a bright sky blue cr‬è‪me. I thought that it was more of a minty shade when I saw it in the store, but it turned out to be a true light blue polish :) The formula is really smooth and shiny. Compared to Gabrini Elegant 352, a polish with a very similar shade, this one has thicker consistency, whereas the Gabrini one is chalkier. The swatch is 2 coats.

Classics Glamour 212 is a very beautiful salmon pink cr‬è‪me. I've been searching for a salmon pink shade that actually suits me and this is as close as I got. It is very similar to a polish by Orkide Olivia whose number I don't have, but it's less orange. What I love about this polish is that it's VERY shiny by itself. Two coats for the swatches.

That's it for today. Which one do you like better?

purple + glitter = ♥

Hey guys!
How are you all doing today?
Today I'm going to show you two nail polishes that I bought recently. They are one of those "I seriously need to buy some nail polishes right now" buys that usually turn out to be bad, but these are actually pretty good. See for yourselves :)

Classics Charming 84 is a warm-toned purple with tons of golden shimmer. It has a jelly-like consistency, making it quite sheer, but 2 coats will do fine. The shimmer is very subtle, yet noticeable.

The second polish for today is Miss Selene 174. It's a lovely glitter topper consisted of hexagonal golden, orange and iridescent particles. The application is okay, but the glitter may be a bit 'stubborn' and get stuck on the brush :)

one with nature

Hey guys!
I finally have something more creative to show you rather than a swatch. I did a "to do" list about my following manicures, I just hope I have the time. I only do my nails at night, because it's starting to get insanely hot here. The polishes smell horrible and don't even dry properly during hot summer days :(
Anyways... Yesterday I had my first exam (out of four). This was the one that concerned me the most, but in the end all I can think of is:

The following manicure is not one of my best. Heck, it's not even one of the good ones. The leaves just wouldn't stamp good :(

First, I painted my thumb and ring fingers with a dark brown creme (Golden Rose Paris Nail Lacquer 73) and the rest of the fingers with a pistachio green creme (Deborah Milano Pistache Green). Afterwards I took a nude creme polish (Golden Rose Paris Nail Lacquer 119) and stamped the design from BM16 over the brown. I think that this design is supposed to be a zebra one, but it reminds me of trees, so yeah :) Then, I picked up a dark green creme (Gabrini Elegant 317) and stamped the outline of the leaves from BM19.

That's it for today! Thanks for reading & have a nice day :)

let's give pearls some love: classics 03 & golden rose 321

Hey guys!
Today I decided to share some pearl finish polishes that I own. You know that feeling when you buy a polish and realize it sucks? I try to keep myself from buying useless polishes that I almost never use, but there are those moments when they look so beautiful in the bottle and so ugly on the nails. Thankfully I actually purchased only one of these polishes (the other one was a gift from my mom and apparently she thinks I like pink pearl polishes). Onto the polishes...

Let's start with the gift first. It's called Golden Rose with Protein 321. Like I previously mentioned, it's a pink pearl polish, almost fully opaque in 2 coats. I'm not sure if the pearl polishes even get fully opaque after a couple of coats. Nonetheless, if I put aside my hate towards these kind of polishes I'd say that it's a pretty good polish.

The second polish is the one that looked so interesting in the bottle. Classics 03 is a very pale milky pearl polish with a blueish sheen. Just like the other one, this one is almost opaque with 2 coats. I would not recommend wearing it by itself, that is unless you like having a weird blue alien nails :D

I never planned to wear this polish by itself, so of course I layered it over black. You get a nice looking blue polish. Excuse the middle nail, I accidentally smudged it with my cleanup brush.

swatches: deborah milano mini polishes

Good morning everyone!
Today I'm going to show you a brand that I've been trying to buy and try out for a long time. Deborah Milano doesn't really have a huge variety of colors (especially the full sized bottles), but the ones I got look really nice. I must say that the price is quite expensive (approx. $4.5 for a 4,5ml bottle I think). Luckily for me I got them on a 2 for 1 sale and I plan to get more real soon.

Before I begin, I'd like to write a few words considering the quality of the polishes. The brushes are wide, just as I like them. Generally the formula is good and the application is flawless. I really like these polishes.

Pistache Green is one of those polishes where no detailed explaining of the color is really needed. I've been looking for a pistachio green cr‬è‪me for a while and this one showed up when I wasn't even trying. It's opaque in 1-2 coats, depending on the thickness. The photos are with 2 coats, as always.

I Am Your Mermaid is a blue nail polish packed with tons of shimmer. As you can see from the swatch photos, it's rather sheer. Two coats won't give you full coverage. Since I painted my friend's nails with this polish before I swatched it I can say for sure that 3 coats make it appear fully opaque. It's great for layering, too. Great polish for summer :)

Which one do you like best?
Thanks for reading & see you soon.
