watercolorblock

Hey everyone!
I was a bit hesitant about posting this manicure, but I decided to go with it anyway. I don't really consider it a complete fail, but I feel like there is something missing and it simply didn't turn out the way I wanted it to.

In order to create this manicure, I first painted my nails with a white matte base. On my ring, middle and index finger I created splatters using watercolors and I coordinated the colors with the nail polishes that I used to do the color blocking. I wanted to do a triangle instead of a straight line, but I ended up chipping a bit of the  nail polish on the index finger and in order to hide it I did a straight line :) In the end, I added a matte top coat on each nail.

Used products:
• Flormar Matte M01 (white)
• Golden Rose Rich Color 14 (purple)
• Golden Rose Rich Color 37 (orange)
• Golden Rose Rich Color 63 (pink)
• Watercolors
• Golden Rose Matte Top Coat

born pretty store lipstick

Hey everyone!
Today I have a really fun product to show you. Recently, I found this lipstick from BornPrettyStore and naturally I got excited and bought it straight away. It's called Balm and while it had a different number on itself, you can find in on the site as #3.

At first glance it looks black and you will probably need to place it under direct light to see even the slightest hint of color. Packaging wise, it's not the best looking lipstick, but it's not bat at all. Mine was really well wrapped, but the lid was a bit cracked, so I guess it was the manufacturer's fault. I don't really mind this, as long as the cap is staying in its place.

Once you apply it, you'll start to see its true beauty. It takes two or three full swipes on the lips to get it as dark as it gets, but even with only one coat it looks amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the texture. It's very smooth and creamy and glides on like a dream. You have to be careful, naturally, after all it is a dark lippie. This is how it looks like during daylight, but at night it looks pretty much black. I'd describe the color as a deep burgundy with the slightest hint of purple.

Even though it's really creamy, it's not too shiny on the lips, which is always a plus for me and it's not drying and cracking.

As usual, natural lips for comparison.

You can check it out on the following link: 1Pc Shimmer Lip Stick Dark Red Purple Natural Cream Moisture Gloss 5 Colors

It retails for $1.99 which is a bargain truly and overall I'm pretty impressed by it.

empties #11

Hey everyone!
Today I'll be doing my quick reviews for the five products that I've emptied during the past month or so.

Redberries Shower Gel by Yves Rocher

First of all, this shower gel smells amazing and the scent stays on the skin and lasts a few hours after you take your shower. It felt so refreshing. I absolutely loved the formula - it lathers nicely and doesn't dry out the skin. I'll definitely be repurchasing more, but I'd love to try their other scents, too. It's a bit expensive for a shower gel, but you're in for a treat if you buy it :)

Pomegranate & Mango Shower Gel by Avon

I will admit, that unlike the body sprays from this line, I'm not much of a fan of the shower gels. The scent doesn't last at all, but other than that it's a pretty decent shower gel. Smells very summery, though :) Sorry, I don't have much to say about this one :(

Deep Cleansing Wash Scrub by Nivea

Nivea products are usually a hit for me, but this one disappointed me a bit. I will admit that I threw away more than half of the product because I hadn't noticed that it was expired and gave me an epic breakout :( It's not too much of a scrub, way too gentle even for your face. Personally, when it comes to scrubs, I'd pick a scrub with the tiniest particles as long as it does it's job, over any scrub that barely has any scrubbing grains in it. The base was quite thick and you kinda had to rub your face in order to remove it after application.

Eyebrow Waxing Strips by Balea

Okay, I'll admit that I'm pretty lazy when it comes to my eyebrows and that's my only excuse for buying this product. Side note: My eyebrow game isn't too strong, so I don't need much plucking anyway and these strips came in handy when I had much better things to do than do my eyebrows (like watching movies). I've been using these for a while and I must say that the first time I used them I failed miserably, but every other time was pretty successful. In the end, I'll say that I love them, they are great for my eyebrow shape and they make my eyebrows awesome in about 5 minutes or so.

Goat's Milk Face Mask by Ziaja

Ever since dm was opened in Skopje, these Ziaja products have been haunting me and I've been dying to try at least something. I decided that would be their face mask. I had a very dry skin period and needed help ASAP. Overall this mask was okay. Didn't impress me too much, but I'm not really a fan of masks that you should wash afterwards. I feel that they leave a residue on your face and it feels really gross to me. I prefer peel off masks for that reason only. Size wise - I think that it too much product for one use and two little for two.

eveline uv top coat

Hello everyone!
Today I'll show you a very interesting product. I got it for my birthday six months ago and tried it out right away, but as usual I'm so late with my posts...

The title of this post is quite misleading, as is the name of the product. It's not a UV top coat that you cure under a UV light, but rather a UV reactive top coat. That means that once exposed to UV rays (whether it's the sun or a UV light) it gets a blue/purple glow.

I don't think that it's an everyday top coat, but you could pull off interesting manicures with it.

I figured it was best to picture it on a white base, so you can see the color change. It's not drastic, but it is present. Overall, this is one of those polishes that are pretty to showcase, but not really use too much.

What do you think about this polish? Would you use it?

rimmel london aurora

Hey everyone!
I'm continuing with the old swatches showcase.
Today I'm going to show you Rimmel London Aurora. First of all, I adore the name and that's why I bought this lovely textured polish that turned out to be one of my all time favorites. I was gonna say that it's a rose gold, but it's more on the cool side, so I will settle for a silvery rose polish. Besides your usual texture grains, it has hexagonal glitter in the same shade. Two coats for the photo.

Once you apply top coat, you get equally awesome looking polish, but I must say that  I prefer it textured.

swatches: random brands

 Hello everyone!

I have a couple of posts that are long overdue, but better late than never, right?

Today I'll show you a few random swatches that didn't really make it on their own. I try not to post a single swatch since the polish has to impress me quite a lot in order to do that. Anyway, I'll stop with the rambling and move on to the swatches.

Gosh Oh La La! is a bright orange cr‬è‪me polish. It's very shiny on its own and it has a bit of that jelly feel to it, but not too much. Full opacity in 2 coats, which makes it pretty standard when it comes to polishes. I absolutely love the color and I don't know why I didn't post it earlier.

H&M Starstruck is a glittery mix consisted of red, green, blue and silver specks of glitter suspended in a clear base. I haven't been wearing too much glitters lately, but it was a nice addition to the ever growing collection. Pictured below 2 coats, but you'll get away with only one.

Avon Midnight Green is a shimmery forest green polish. If you've been following me for a while, you'll know about my struggle to find the perfect dark green polish. This one just didn't impress me too much. Don't get me wrong - it's gorgeous, just not quite what I was looking for. 2 coats for the photo.

Flormar Matte M01 is a plain matte white polish. Quite surprising, it needed 2 coats to become fully opaque, as 1 coat can look  a bit streaky. It's great as a base for manicures and such, but still not my favorite white ever.
